The last seven deadly sins chapter started with the panel of all the sins together in the barn drinking and talking about Merlin’s scar. Everyone is glad that the demon king is dead but they are sad about Escanor’s passing and also happy that now everything is over and now they can rest happy.
Everyone is talking about their life and how they have got everything they wanted and that is when they asked Merlin what she wanted and what is her goal in life.
That is when she starts telling them what her goal is. She teleports everyone to the barn near the magic lake. The water in lake is rising and there they see the body of Arthur with a sword in his body. That is when Merlin announces that her goal is the revival of Arthur as the king aka King of chaos.
Merlin then goes on to revive Arthur and everyone is stunned. She starts talking about how Chaos will rule the world and how the human chosen by the priestess of Chaos will become the true king.
The next panel shows Arthur turning into something different and we come to know that he is starting to turn into the king of chaos.

Fans speculate that there is a fourth clan called Chaos which used to exist long ago but they were sealed by the God clan and the demon clan. No one knew about the Chaos as the demon king and the supreme deity sealed them.
They are supposed to be a group of wizards who wanted to control the world. The priestess of chaos must be the leader and she must be the mentor of Merlin’s mother or her direct relative.
Merlin’s goal was to revive the Chaos and give birth to the King of Chaos and that is why she choose Arthur as the worthy candidate.
